Cyber Security Week 2022

Cyber Security Week 2022

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) attaches great importance to improving information and cyber security in the Government as well as enhancing the cybersecurity awareness and preparedness among the public. In this connection, OGCIO collaborates actively with industry stakeholders to organise the Cyber Security Week which features a series of activities and provides learning resources for the businesses, schools and the general public with a view to raising their awareness, grasping the skills and learning the proper etiquette when using the Internet. These activities include the “Fact Check after Receiving, Think Twice before Sharing” Folder Design Contest, Cyber Security Expo 2022, the Hong Kong Cyber Security New Generation Capture the Flag (CTF) and etc. Interesting resources such as cyber security guidelines and best practices developed by various organisations (including the Hong Kong Police Force, Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre and Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong) are also available for the general public to better equip them with the required skills and proper etiquette to stay safe in the cyberspace.

The cyber security industry stakeholders are also encouraged to explore collaboration opportunities and enhance connections with Mainland and/or overseas partners through participating in various events such as the 2022 China Cybersecurity Week which will be held from 5 to 11 September 2022.
