Cyber Security Week 2016

The Cyber Security Week 2016 with the theme of “Let’s Secure Our Cyberspace” is organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO). With collaboration between the Government and various industry organisations, the event features a series of fascinating events, including seminars, cyber security professionals awards, and public online voting for the mascot design contest, for the wider community to participate. It aims to arouse public awareness on cyber security through the events to empower the Government, businesses, schools, and general public to stay safer and more secure online.

OGCIO keeps to strengthen information sharing with other places under the globalization brought about by the Internet. The Government Chief Information Officer, Ir Allen Yeung, together with industry representatives, attended the 2016 China Cybersecurity Week in Wuhan, Hubei on 19 September 2016 to exchange views with Mainland and overseas experts on cyber security. Ir Yeung also delivered a speech on “Promoting and Raising Awareness of Cyber Security” to share Hong Kong’s efforts in promoting and enhancing cyber security awareness at the Cybersecurity Technology Summit.
